AIRCRASH INFOGRAPHIC

GOOD MORNING!!!
Today I will upload an infographic of aircrashes.
The first one is my infographic.
There is a mapa mundi with planes that simbolize where were exactly the accidents. Next to the planes appear the names of the cities with aircrashes and the number of deaths.
as you can see my infographic looks similar as the infographic that I find on internet: http://www.travelinsurance.org/the-deadliest-airplane-accidents-infographic/
That means that my infographic is made in a familiar way. I've also made it in a easier way to understand, it's reflect with the planes in the place where the accident occurs, that makes visual the information. Moreover, if the viewer doesn't understand at all the infographic, he/she has written information.
This infographic is not abstract, it's true that there isn't too much text but is really understandable what it means.
It's not novel my graphic because it sound on the viewer surely. The kind of format that it has is quite recognizable for the viewer.

                      MY INFOGRAPHIC

EXAMPLE OF INTERNET "http://www.travelinsurance.org/the-deadliest-airplane-accidents-infographic/"

In this graphic it's expressed the deadliest airplane accidents all over the world. it's more complex that my graphic because of the information that is on the bottom of the page. Is more elaborated because of the format too.
It's functional because every element has his function, but also has a decorative aspect, the plane that is on the top...
how ever is understandable and they achieve its information purpose.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATENTION!

  1. Hey Andrea! The map you've made looks very well, the tonalities of the countries look soft and very professional as they don't get too much attention of the reader and make him to focus on the important matter: the accidents. Also, the idea of depicting where has been a plane accident with a plane's icon is really good because it gets the reader really into the topic. What I'm not really sure about is the black borders and the white font you have put around the map. I think they look too harsh and that don't fit the softness and elegancy of the map itself, but I'm sure you can improve it!
Your blog also looks very girly and nice. It's obvious that you don't like pink colour!
Keep doing with your blog! Good luck!

  2. Hi Andrea. I think that I use too long time to figure out what the information graphic is about. You should do that job for me. For example: The headline, I think, should be in the top.

Secondly, i would have made the comments on the right on the infographic itself.

  3. Maps are always difficult to effort, so at leats you make a good job. Obviously the internet once is better, but I think you could gain more experience and get the highest level if you practice day by day.

    Congrats for the blog!!

  4. Hey Andrea,
i agree with Christian to put the headline on the top so the reader immediately gets the idea. Furthermore, i would have wished a little bit more information about the accidents, saying they all took place between 2000 and 2009 could be a little bit unspecific. But nevertheless, good job, especially because this one fits to your background image.
